Air Pixels · Market Research & Aerial Intelligence
Market research from the team that maps the drone economy.
We run the Drone Delivery Tracker, the Drone Comparison Engine and Flight OS. That data, our own flights and a background in vision systems go into research for investors, retailers, cities and drone companies: who is flying where, what the rules allow and what a site looks like from 400 ft.
Our vantage point
We already track the drone economy.
Every project starts from datasets we maintain and publish on airpixels.com. Our background is in vision systems; today we use AI models to count, classify and measure from aerial imagery and to work through filings, permits and meeting records at volume.

Services
What we research.
For investors and analysts, retail and restaurant brands, cities and airports, and drone companies. Most projects combine two or three of these.
01 · Delivery
Drone delivery landscape
Who operates where, from which hubs, with which aircraft and retail partners, and how fast each network is growing.
Market map · .csv
02 · Regulation
Rules & airspace
Part 107 waivers today, the Part 108 BVLOS rule in progress, state and municipal actions, and LAANC ceilings for every site in scope.
Regulatory brief · site table
03 · Readiness
Market & site readiness
Cities, ZIP codes or individual sites ranked for drone delivery or drone operations by airspace, facility map ceilings, wind history, density and existing service.
Ranked shortlist · map
04 · Aerial
Aerial counts & observation
Part 107 flights over sites you choose. Vision models count vehicles, parking occupancy, construction progress, rooftop equipment or solar arrays, and repeat flights turn counts into trends.
Counts · annotated imagery · .csv
05 · Technology
Hardware & vision benchmarking
Airframes, cameras, LiDAR, payloads and detect-and-avoid systems compared against your use case, drawing on the Comparison Engine and our vision systems work.
Comparison matrix · recommendation
06 · Interviews
Interviews & field surveys
Structured interviews with operators, pilots, municipal staff and retail partners, transcribed and coded with AI, then checked and summarized by an analyst.

How it works
Three steps from question to answer.
01 · Scope
A 20-minute scoping callWe pin down the question, the markets and the decision it feeds. You get a fixed quote and timeline within two business days.
02 · Research
Data, interviews & flightsTracker data, FAA and municipal records, filings, interviews and, where needed, flights over your sites. Models count and measure; an analyst checks every figure against its source.
03 · Deliver
Report, data & readoutA written report with every claim sourced, the underlying data as CSV and a readout call with your team. Follow-up questions are answered for 30 days.
Market Briefing

Questions
Before you book.
How much does drone market research cost?
A Market Briefing is $2,500, fixed. Custom Studies start at $9,500, and most land between $9,500 and $25,000 depending on the number of markets, interviews and flights. Market Watch is $1,500 a month with a three-month minimum. A single analyst call is $350.
Where does the data come from?
Operator announcements, FAA and FCC records, state and municipal filings, meeting minutes, company filings and local reporting, plus our own interviews and flights. Every entry in the tracker cites its source, and estimates are labeled as estimates.
How do you use AI?
Models read large volumes of filings and transcripts, code interviews and count objects in aerial imagery. An analyst checks every figure in a deliverable against its source before it ships.
Can you fly our sites?
Yes, under Part 107 with a certified remote pilot. Sites in controlled airspace need a LAANC authorization or a waiver, so we confirm what each site allows before quoting. Flights move if wind or weather is outside limits.
Do aerial counts track people?
No. We count vehicles, equipment, structures and land use. People are not identified or tracked.
Is our project confidential?
Yes. Your question, data and findings stay private, and we sign NDAs on request. Our public tools are built from public sources only.
Can we start with a call?
Yes. A 60-minute analyst call is $350 and is credited toward any package booked within 30 days.
